The teachers of Santiago's "Teamwork" school are dedicated to the children that they serve in their community. As citizens in the town they are closely related to the families there. They daily face the pressures of working under the state regulations (school uniforms and fees) that many times deter the children from attending the school. However, the young teachers are determined to overcome the everyday issues of the community to develop the minds of its future! Your donation of $50 will provide the following supplies for the classroom: Dry erase markers and eraser, packs of construction and lined paper, highlighters, folders, art supplies, sticky notes, math tools and stickers.
There are many young men and women in San Pedro Sula and its surrounding areas that desire to further their education at university. However, very few will continue on to that level because of the lack of funds and the low quality of programs in the area. We recognize the importance and need for the future of the city.
